Textbook: Jürgen Jost: Postmodern Analysis (Springer).
(The preface of the book clarifies that the adjective postmodern is NOT
intended in the meaning it carries in philosophy)
(The last two chapters of the book are not used for the course, but may be
material that you'd gladly reference at a later time in further studies)
Textbook procurement info from our librarian: (Thanks, Teresa Berry!)
The book is available as eBook in our library. The following link allows
you to access it also from off-campus with proper authentification:

UTK students and faculty may purchase a softcover edition with black-and-white
illustrations for $24.99 from this site.
Note: tastes differ, but personally I recommend having a hardcopy
available. That price is about a 50% discount off the sticker price.
The book has no color illustrations, so that `black and white' is no
restriction.
Content outline:
We'll mainly cover notions of convergence and continuity, and differentiability
in 447; then integration in 448. To a large extent, single and multi-variable
will be treated uniformly together.
