Research

My research is in Mathematical Biology. As a former NCAA DI athlete, I am passionate about developing mathematical models that describe and predict biological phenomena.

I am currently doing research that involves modeling treatment for malaria in the context of understanding drug-resistant malaria parasite strains. This involves trying to understand the fast acting within-host dyanmics in combination with the slower between-host population dynamics.

In the Fall of 2018, I completed my M.A. in Mathematics in which I studied a mathematical model for the force and energectics in competitive running.

My advisor is Dr. Olivia Prosper, at the University of Tennessee, whose reseach interests are in Mathematical Biology, specfically modeling disease dynamics.
