I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Math Department at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and I'll also obtain a Master in Statistics when I graduate in 2017. My research is in commutative algebra where I study graphical structures that can be placed on the elements of a ring. The most common structure is the zero-divisor graph. Click on the Research link above to find out more. I'm also passionate about teaching and have had the opportunity to teach a variety of courses while a graduate student at UTK. I've also tried many methods and techniques, as well as used various types of technology in the classroom such as Smart Board technology and Wolfram Mathematica.
