Recommended Text: Complex Function Theory, 2nd edition by Donald Sarason, American Mathematical Society, 2007
The plan for this semester is to cover the topics from this book. The book has a geometric approach and contains many examples and exercises.

Alternate references: Real & Complex Analysis, 3rd edition, by Walter Rudin,  McGraw-Hill series in higher mathematics - perhaps a more efficient approach than Sarason's book.
Functions of one complex variable by John B. Conway
Complex Analysis by Lars Ahlfors
Complex Analysis by Theodore Gamelin

Class, test, and grading policies:

1. Attendance is mandatory.
2. Read the textbook along with what we are doing in class.
3. There will be weekly assignments.
4. There will be one in class exam and a two hour comprehensive final exam.
Final exam: Friday May 4, 8-10AM
5. Your final grade will be determined by use of the following key:
Homework 50%,  Exams 50% (hour exam 16.6%,  final exam 33.4%)
