information and announcements will be made on Angel as well. Please make it your habit to visit the site frequently.

Text: "Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems" by W. E. Boyce and R. C. DiPrima, 9th Edition, Wiley.

Homeowork/Quiz:  Homework problems from the textbook will be collected regularly.  I encourage you to discuss homework problems with your classmates. However you should write up your own solution to submit.  Quizzes that help you prepare for exam will be given when appropriate.

Exams:

Two 75-minute midterm examinations will be given.

• Exam 1  on October 10 covering Chapters 1, 2 and 3.

• Exam 2 on November 13 covering Chapters 4, 5,6, 7, 8, and 9.

There is also a a comprehensive final examination given during the final examination period.

The final examination period will begin on Monday, December 17 and end on Friday, December 21.
Students should not make plans to leave University Park before Saturday, December 22, 2012.
