FINITE MATHEMATICS

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
For students not planning to major in the physical sciences, engineering,
mathematics, or computer science. Topics include exponential and
logarithmic functions,
interest and annuities, linear systems and matrices, and optimization.
Prereq: satisfactory placement test score, or 119 or 130. Students who
receive a grade of C or better in Math 123 may not subsequently receive
credit for 119. (QR) 3 credit hours.

ADVISEMENTS:
* Check e-mail REGULARLY (preferably morning and night).
* Come to every class meeting.
* Do all homework / do not fall behind.
* Re-do homework as necessary.
* Visit the Math Tutorial Center in Ayres 322 regularly.
* Visit me during my office hours.
* Form a study group.
* Hire a tutor. The Math Office (Ayres 121) has a list of available tutors.
