How to use the Doomsday algorithm:

University of Tennessee alumnus Kurt Vonnegut reports a letter that Professor Arthur Barnhouse wrote to the Secretary of State:

Dear Sir:
I have discovered a new force which costs nothing to use, and which is probably more important than atomic energy. I should like to see it used most effectively in the cause of peace, and am, therefore, requesting your advice as to how this might best be done.
Yours truly,
A. Barnhouse.

Some people, such as Professor Barnhouse, can do amazing things with their minds. While the Doomsday algorithm is unlikely to cause many explosions, it may be used on any day of the week. You can use it in a grocery store or while sitting in a coffee shop. Sometimes people celebrate their birthdays. The important part is identifying the correct day of the week.

That being said, boys, always leave girls better than when you found them. And, girls, try to do the same for boys.
