Let me clarify the login issues to Web-Assign:

If you have added the class after midnight Thu-Fri, webassign will 
not know you yet, because this is when I last exported the class 
roster to WA. I'll do that occasionally again. Let me know if you are
waiting due to a recent sign-up, because I do not get automatic 
notifications of recent changes in the class roster.


(1) You can access WA from BlackBoard (online@utk.edu). This would 
not have worked until Friday afternoon because I had to create a WA 
tool in Blackboard and make it available to you, and this happened 
only on Friday at about 3pm. If you are in Blackboard already, 
no further credentials should be needed. However, the interface 
between Blackboard and Web-Assign has had some unresolved glitches
in the past, so you may want to consider option (2)


(2) You can directly login from www.webassign.net
To do this, you need to create a password for your account.
The user-id for webassign is NOT your netid (as it used to be in 
the recent past), but your netid followed by ::app-69
So if your name is John Doe with NetID jdoe275, your WA account 
user name would be jdoe::app-69

(That was also the cause why I got locked out, b/c my WA userid 
jdenzler got automatically changed into jdenzler::app-69 when 
I exported the class roster from Blackboard)

The university ID is    utk
I don't know if this is case sensitive, but can confirm that lower case works.

When you need to give your e-mail address to reset, or possibly 
create a password for that account,
make sure that it is the one of the form   jdoe275@tennessee.edu and NOT
jdoe275@utk.edu . For our mailserver, the two are synonyms, 
but WA doesn't know that.

Now that should work!
