Comments, Hints, and Announcements....
As previously mentioned in class, for students who want to get the most of the vital area of matrix algebra, I strongly suggest taking Math 251 or 257 rather than 200. Dr. Dydak has asked me to announce that he is offering Math 257 this spring at 9:05 am - 9:55 am in MWF Ayres Hall 111. The class will be smaller than 251 and much smaller than 200, and will give a solid introduction to this subject that is very important to engineering and science. If you have any questions, contact Dr. Dydak (dydak@math.utk.edu). It is important to register for the class as soon as possible.
I will hold office hours Friday, December 3, 11-1 in my office in Aconda Court (we aren't allowed in Ayres Hall yet). The final exam is Monday, December 6, at 8 am in HSS 58. As usual, my advice is to create your 3X5 card then work problems from the homework, referring only to your card. This will help you to identify areas in which you need to work more.
