Event 1: A 2nd grade classic: the Speed Quiz. 108 addition and subtraction problems with speed and accuracy. It was close as Dr. C's reputation as champion was challenged by Michael & Dalton, but with his perfect paper Dr. C came out on top (as usual). Michael, Pranav & Dakota finished out the top 4, each from a different team! Team No-Name had some interesting strategy that supposedly involved cheating, though it only got them to a tie for 3rd with Hufflepuff. The Denominators tied with S & the Rs for 1st, due to, well I won't name any names (KJ). It was a good first event and all teams are still in the running.

Event 2: First off, the No Names finally have a name. The event was competitive high-speed circle drawing. It was a close competition until the final round when Shashank redemed his team with a score of 12 to move them into second place, and Pranav dropped a circle with a low score of 7-1/2 to move the Huff's into first. The Denominators did not de-Dominate today, but there is always next time. Overall S & R moved into 1st, with the Huff's close behind.

Event 3: The event was a variation on a multiplayer version of Battleship. It also is a variation on some other game that no-one knows the name of. The main purpose is, as always, to beat the other teams. We saw lots of different strategies over the 3 rounds. Totaling the results put The Denominators in 1st with 2 firsts and a tie for 2nd, Hufflepuff in 2nd with a first, second and tie for second place finish, while the two teams with 'and' in their name tied for 3rd. Overall this makes for a tight race for 1st with The Denom at 21.5, Huff at 21 and S & R at 19.5. Da Krew holds onto last alone with 13 points.

Event 4: 24 Pencils. 3 Scoring Zones. It's the Pencil Toss Challenge. Basically each team tosses 24 pencils trying to get them to land in the scoring zones (5, 10, 20). After Round One, D&K had a sizeable lead that held up until the 2nd round. Daniel in particular was pretty confident that this would lead to Da Krew's first victory. Little did he know that Dr. C had a masterful strategy that would sweep the Denominators from Last to First. The Denominators went last; executed their plan with perfection and scored 120 pts in the final round bringing them to victory. To quote Daniel 'Noooooooooo!'. But, unfortunately for Da Krew the answer was 'Yes!'. With these results the Denominators pull out farther into first place with the remaining 3 teams within a few points of each other for 2nd-4th.

Event 5: With the Extra Quiz Papers we had a paper airplane or flying and floating paper made object contest. We had both a distance contest, won by S & R with their ball-shaped airplain. And a maximum time aloft contest, won by Da Krew with a nicely crafted air boat. The overall rankings didn't change much, so it is still a tight race for 2nd with the Denominators in the lead.
