Practice problems should be worked out to build your understanding
of both the techniques involved and the concepts presented. Comprehension
of the technique(s) will be tested by a short quiz the day after the
material is covered, and on the exams. You can ask questions about
these problems in class or office hours, but you do not have to
turn in any work from them.
Turn In problems are just that: problems to do and turn in by the beginning of class the day after the section is covered. They typically emphasize more of the main concepts for the section rather than the techniques. These will be graded by hand. The material they cover will also be on the exam. |
