I am an associate professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I received my PhD from the Berkeley math department, working with Bernd Sturmfels. My CV is available.
I am interested in combinatorial aspects of algebraic geometry. In the past, I have worked in tropical geometry and on applications to computational biology. Currently, I mostly work on algebraic matroids.
