In order for us to evaluate your potential as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and/or for other departmental financial aid, please have sent to the Mathematics Department a copy of a transcript from each college you have attended.
Applicants should ask three of their references to write letters directly to the Assistantship Committee, Department of Mathematics, and to comment specifically on your potential to do graduate work in mathematics.

An assistantship application is complete when this form, together with transcripts and three letters of reference, are received by the Department of Mathematics.
Comments:
Applicants for assistantships are encouraged also to apply for university fellowships. Information and application forms for University administered fellowships should be obtained from the Graduate School, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee 37996-0220.
