1. How many 34 cent stamps can you buy with $1? Answer 2.2. A five-foot tall person is standing 2 feet from a vertical fence on level ground.
The closest point on the ground that the person can see by looking over the top of
the fence is 8 feet away from the fence. How tall is the fence? Answer 4.
3. A rat can eat a bag of corn in 2 hours and another rat can eat a bag of corn in three hours.
How many minutes does it take both rats to eat a single bag of corn? Answer 72.
4. If the diagonal of a cube has length 2 feet, find the surface area of the cube. Answer 8.
