TITLE: Random maps and the Angel-Schramm limit
ABSTRACT: How can one create a 2-dimensional random surface? One approach is to take some kind of limit of random graphs embedded in the plane. I will give a general introduction to this area and will discuss the limiting object of Angel and Schramm, which is called the Uniform Infinite Planar Triangulation (UIPT).
