TEXT: Nagle-Saff-Snider, Fundamentals of Differential Equations (6th. edition)

GRADING: based on 3 in-class exams (20% each), final (30%), homework (10%)

Exam dates (tentative): Oct 2,  Nov 6,  Nov 25
 Please inform me in advance about any conflicts with exam dates.
IMPORTANT REMARK: I do not  "grade on a curve"

Drop deadlines: drop with W: 8/29; drop with WP/WF: 11/11

FINAL: Tuesday, Dec. 9, 12:30-2:30

POLICIES:
1) Students are responsible for knowing what was covered in class, even if
it is not found in the text ( get the notes from a classmate if you have to miss
a class, or check the course log).

2) class time will be spent mostly on examples and problems- for the details of
the theory, it is a good idea to read the sections in the text in advance (see the
plan below).

3) calculators will be neither necessary nor allowed;  cell phones off during class.

HOMEWORK: there will be 8 to 10 homework sets; you will normally have
one week to work on them. Solutions will be posted. ( Each student is allowed ONE late
assignment during the semester, which must be turned in at the beginning of the first class after the due date;
subsequent late assignments will not be graded)
