Personal Information:

I earned the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in mathematics from The Ohio State University (go Bucks!) in 1987, and the Master of Arts degree in mathematics from the University of Kentucky in 1989.

I have been teaching in universities and community colleges since 1986, and have been a full-time teaching faculty member in the Mathematics Department at UT since 1993.  I enjoy teaching Math 141-2 (Calculus I & II), 130 (Precalculus), 113 (Math Reasoning, using the Heart of Mathematics), 123 (Finite Math), 125 (Basic Calculus), and 119 (College Algebra).  I also teach Math 113 (Math Reasoning using the Heart of Mathematics) for Independent Study.

I enjoy reading (Car Talk, Dave Barry), music (I love the 70’s, Canadian Brass, Chuck Mangione, Phish), hiking in the GSMNP, swimming and water skiing at Norris Lake, and many other outdoor activities with my husband and two boys.

The best movies ever made: Star Wars (A New Hope, IV, was the greatest!)

I have enjoyed vacations at Yellowstone National Park, Hawaii, and Disneyworld.  Some day I would like to visit the Grand Canyon.

I played trombone in The Ohio State University Marching Band.
